Magnif-A-Tent was founded by childhood best friends Patrick and Justin. The company was born out of their shared understanding of the importance of making memories. Their journey began in various service industries, where they discovered their exceptional ability to listen to clients’ desires, needs, and concerns. Fueled by entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for hospitality, the spark of inspiration ignited during their college years, giving birth to Magnif-A-Tent.

 

With the purchase of one small tent, Patrick and Justin embarked on a journey filled with determination, reinvesting every dollar earned to gradually expand their inventory. They immersed themselves in the event industry, driven by their passion for helping people plan unforgettable events and exceed expectations. Year after year, Magnif-A-Tent grew steadily, building a reputation as a trusted provider of tent and event rentals.

Patrick Pyne

Patrick Pyne, Co-Founder

Patrick Pyne is a remarkable individual whose journey reflects ambition and dedication.  As a Hofstra University graduate in Finance, he has successfully transitioned into entrepreneurship with his business, Magnif-A-Tent. Beyond his professional achievements, Patrick values his personal life, cherishing moments with his family, including his wife Laura, his daughter Fallon, and their Bullmastiff, Benny. An active lifestyle is also important to him; he enjoys playing hockey, lifting weights, gardening, outdoor activities such as hiking and tackling home improvement projects.

Patrick’s passion for continuous learning drives him to seek personal growth, believing in the endless potential for improvement. This mindset, coupled with his friendly and honest demeanor, has been instrumental in overcoming challenges and reaching success. From an early age, he has always sought out the ‘why’ of any challenge and question the reasoning behind the approach.  The hunger for knowledge, accompanied with unwavering optimism and a lead by example mentality has carved out the type of leader he is today.

As the owner of Magnif-A-Tent, Patrick has cultivated a reputation for outstanding service and quality, making his boutique tent and event rental business a preferred choice for Long Island residents. His commitment to excellence has garnered a loyal customer base and contributed to the thriving nature of his business.

Justin Baliunas

Justin Baliunas, Co-Founder

Justin is a dynamic entrepreneur with a passion for building a brand that people can trust and enjoy doing business with. After college, he embarked on an exciting journey that began with the purchase of a small tent, which laid the foundation for what has blossomed into a renowned powerhouse in the event and hospitality industry.

From the beginning, Justin’s vision was clear: to create memorable experiences for individuals and families celebrating life’s milestones. He has always thrived in connecting with people, recognizing the joy that comes from bringing communities together. This passion has driven him to cultivate a company that not only meets clients’ needs but also exceeds their expectations.

Alongside his business partner and childhood friend, Patrick, they established Magnif-A-Tent, a brand that emphasizes quality and customer satisfaction above all else. Together, they leveraged their experiences in various service industry roles to understand customer needs, which has been integral to the company’s success. Since 2012, their dedication to reinvesting in the business and focusing on growth has allowed them to turn their small entrepreneurial venture into a respected name on Long Island.

Justin believes in the power of his people and prioritizes cultivating a company culture that encourages growth and self-improvement. He understands that fostering an environment where teamwork thrives is essential to success. As he often says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. Justin’s commitment to excellence is also reflected in his personal life. His wife, who has become an invaluable partner in both his personal and professional journey. As a supportive and resourceful administrative assistant, she plays a key role in managing their growing business while balancing her full-time career in healthcare administration. Together, they navigate the exciting challenges of entrepreneurship, exemplifying teamwork and a shared vision.

With a strong desire to make a positive impact, Justin continues to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit that propelled him from that first tent to the successful enterprise he leads today. Meghan Murphy

Meghan Murphy, Account Manager

Meghan joined Magnif-A-Tent in 2021 as an account manager, quickly establishing herself as a vital member of the team and setting a new standard for excellence in the events industry.
